Amazon closes 3000 stores on its platform and has banned about 600 Chinese brands for violating policies and creating false reviews of their products.
These actions ha been taken against only China are they directed at any specific country, since other Mexican brands are no longer available on Amazon.
In this sense, Amazon states that: “We suspend, prohibit, and take legal action against those who violate these policies, wherever they are in the world. We will continue to improve abuse detection and enforcement against bad actors, including those who deliberately engage in multiple and repeated policy violations, including review abuse.”
Since May Amazon, began a campaign to identify and eliminate bad practices that did not comply with the proper development of the platform. This is what they have made to see, seeking to improve and avoid scams through the organization.
Some brands against which actions were taken were: Aukey, Mpow, and Shenzhen Youkeshu Technology Co. which are no longer available in Asia or anywhere in the world.
Other Mexican brands such as Mpow, Taotronics, and ravpower; has no available results. Similarly, it has become clear that despite the blockages made by Amazon, the growth of Chinese merchants has not been affected.
“Customers rely on the accuracy and authenticity of product reviews to make informed purchasing decisions, and we have clear policies, both for reviewers and for sales partners, that prohibit abuse of this feature from our community.” An Amazon spokesperson claims.
Finally, the authenticity and permanence of the E-Commerce giant have been key to maintaining its position worldwide. We just hope that good practices continue to be realized.
